It is official! Little Women Photography is official and I can’t believe it! Let me tell you a little bit about my inspiration.
My Inspiration, My very own Little Women
I raised two amazingly virtuous daughters. Not to brag, but I can say beautiful too. More than outer beauty, I instilled in them a mindfully cultivation and appreciation for seeking for inner beauty above all else. When you meet them, you’ll agree. They are amazingly beautiful souls and caring humans beings! They are my inspiration fro this Little Women photography project.
My youngest will soon be 18 and she loves everything early 18th Century era. She sometimes dresses in such fashion-inspired pieces, especially to sleep. Long, embroidered nightgowns, ribbon curling hair, and a book in hand. She is an old soul in a teen body. As a mom, I enjoy seeing her in “jammies” at home. It gives me a sense of “she s still little” even though she is a little woman.
And yes, we love the book by Louisa May Alcott. We love the movies too. I introduced her to the movie a few years ago and she loved it. She then read the book and now it’s her favorite. We had talked about it endlessly. And although I love the story, I’m not naming this new journey of teen photography after the book. I’m primarily naming it Little Women Photography because of the little women I see in my own daughters coming from playing little-girls to becoming young wholesome women.
This same feeling of coming-of-age is the same feeling I want to capture for the girls out there that feel and embrace femininity in this way. I want to be their voice and their place to express it. I’m so excited to keep exploring this new journey!
This is her. This is part of her Senior photographs. This is her world right now and I’m blessed beyond words to be her mom and being able to capture the real her. Isn’t she beautiful! Follow our Instagram @LittleWomenPhotography
