I spent a day at my dear little cousin’s just to document their brand new furbaby girl story. She is an adorable Kelpie mix named Yuna meaning “moon” in Japanese. It has been wonderful to see these two grow together over the years. But it was even more wonderful to see them now as a family with Yuna. This was a relaxed lifestyle pet story.
Ok, ok, they don’t do this every day but I have to admit it was a delicious Saturday morning breakfast and a great excuse to photograph their lives in their apartment. There is something nostalgic about those first years living as a couple in their first apartment. I remember my very own and what I wished to be reminded of in years to come. Funny thing is that she was part of my first apartment memories when she was little. Now I get to see her starting her own story. It makes me happy and OLD at the same time! Haha!
Ooh, that coffee!
I like to think my cousin is a coffee connoisseur! Maybe because I’m not much of a coffee drinker but she showed me this cool French coffee press and how it works. The aroma and the taste were on point!
Dog Mom & Dog Dad
Like with any newborn session, photographing the love a dog mom and dad share is always so adorable. And these are simply the best! Yuna is so expressive. She has these adoring-eyes look toward her humans. She is so loved and she loves back!
If I have to put this family of three in one photo, it will be this one. This pretty much represents them.
Like any other pup, Yuna is an active puppy loving her toys. But even for such a young puppy, she is so obedient and smart. I was surprised to be able to photograph her still when given the command to “stay”. Did you see that smile? She has a very expressive face.
Happy and sassy? Which one is your favorite?
And after a whole day of fun is time to rest.
Train your Dog
Not all is love and fun living with furbabies. Just when I was about to leave they showed me this training video they are trying to learn from. The chewed up video case and their faces say it all! I still laugh every time I see this photograph.
