Gone fishing is one of my favorite sets to have kids play at the beach! As with all of my setups, kids come to have a fantastic fishing adventure.
If they don’t eat the cute wriggly gummy worms, they can try to catch some wild fish. The good news is they ALWAYS catch at least two fishies.
Kids love to “cook” the fish on the “fire” while singing campfire songs and maybe playing the guitar. And while the “fire” is still on, they will make s’mores for dessert 🙂
There will always be a matching book in my setups. I love books and every child enjoys a good book.
It is always amazing to me how easily kids’ imaginations ignite. The worms, the fishing, the fish, the fire…it all becomes “REAL” in the magical world of play pretend.
Yummy gummy worms.
THEY LOVE FISHING!
On our very fist consultation mom told me they love going fishing with dad and as a family. Going fishing defines who they are at this age, and thus, why we wanted to preserve such meaningful moment of their childhood… They had so much fun!
It is my experience for over ten years photographing children that when we allow them to have fun adventures, they will always want to be photographed. So take advantage of the happy session and BE part of it! You’ll have a great time playing into their world and will have beautiful family portraits as well.
REAL PLAY LEADS TO REAL EXPRESSIONS!
Real, most genuine of smiles and expressions of love happen when kids are loving what they’re doing: playing. One of the reasons I love creating imagination sessions.
What do your children love to do the most? What is that very thing the do now you wish you could keep forever? The answer to these are usually the theme of your kids’ next adventure in photographs.
