2020, The Year We Stayed Home

Oh, 2020, what a year! It was a year of firsts we never expected to go through BUT…we stayed home, we refocused, and we thrived! We were forced to press pause our BUSY-LIFE buttons and find ourselves again as a community, as individuals, and most importantly, as a family. And you know what? It was a blessing!

So, amid all the craziness in the world, I had the privilege to travel to Indianapolis to document a 2020 Day-in-the-Life session for this sweet family. Here’s one chapter of their amazing day!

Day in the Life sessions has many stories within one day. I love the energy from hyperactive almost crazy moments, the sneaky sound of rushing away feet, to blessed quiet times of deep inner growing. Life with little ones is energetic, unpredictable, and NEVER dull.

When you do activities together your kids not only learn new skills but bond and create new memories. There’s nothing quite adorable that to see their happy-messy-sticky hands, feet, and giggles as they enjoy an activity with you.

The cookie might not be their favorite in the end but it was a fun day for sure.

BABY’S BATHTIME

After ALL of that beautiful flour mess facial, it was time to clean up. Babies playing with water is one of my favorite things to capture and Baby Madeline enjoyed it the most!

I love little bubbly hands and wet eyelashes!

She ended up with a beautifying flower and soothing oils bath to replenish her soft baby skin.

And cuddles…lots of daddy cuddles!

These photos are just chapters inside the story of the day. There are thrilling outdoor adventures, funny theater showings, and relaxing couple moments yet to be shared. There is more to come in the next blog post.
