Every now and then I have a special request for a one of a kind maternity session, and I LOVE what we can create for our costumers. Imagine a Fairy Garden inspired maternity session! When this mom asks me for such a theme my heart went skipping about. She already has a little boy, which I photographed as a “The Little Prince” when he turned one. Now, mom is expecting a little girl and she wanted something magical where she could still have her little prince, now a big brother, as a handsome fairy prince. And so we did!
The location is crucial for themed sessions. You can not have a fairy garden in any regular forest. Fairies are secretive. They will live deep in the forest where the light is most beautiful, and they wouldn’t have to be worried about being seen when they fly from tree to tree. I found the perfect fairy garden, where the trees have lush tiny leaves and a beautiful flowered carpet. It was the perfect fantasy-like backdrop for a fairy garden maternity session.
We always do a wardrobe and styling consultation before the session. I will guide you in selecting the best dresses and color combination for your family to wear. Sometimes we can even provide for the outfits as I’ve carefully selected gorgeous pieces for our clients to wear on their session.
This Fairy Garden inspired session was enchanting, colorful, and so delicate. The perfect theme for a fairy mommy now expecting a little princess.
Now, look who is a big brother now!
And her name is Hadassah Victoria! Hadassah was the name of Queen Esther, a brave Jewish girl who saved her country from total annihilation.
This garden is so enchanted, it even has a giant mushroom and a castle tower to add texture to some photographs.
