Last days of Summer and Lemonade Stands are legal again!
It is the time for nature exploration, backpacking adventures, late campfire stories, and for some little entrepreneurs out there is also time to make so extra money, right? Well, I have t be honest, that was not the plan. We plan the session after the governor of San Antonio declare Lemonade Stands to be legal again (woo-hoo) and for the kids to be photographed having tons of fun while playing at it. There is something almost magical when kids play-pretend play but for reals! People who made or play in a lemonade stand will relate to this. Let me explain…
The wonder of Play Pretend for Real
Kids’ imagination is bigger than what we adults could grasp or would like to accept. We like the “stay still and “cheese” to the camera” kind of pictures. Don’t get me wrong, I get it, I also want our children’s beautiful smiles when we photograph them. BUT when a child actually plays in a real set up something clicks inside of them that takes flight right into their imagination realm. Your child visits that world in which we are no longer in touch with because we forgot HOW to get there. As we grow up we lose this amazing gift.
Your child is still small. He or she still knows
Let them be little. Let them explore and play. There are little just once. This is my mantra. This is my approach when I plan for an amazing photography experience. And so these kiddos did! The lemonade stand right in their front yard called peoples’ attention and sure enough they got real costumers in line to get some freshly squeeze and delicious lemonade. They made amazing memories and a few bucks this hot Summer days.
It is time to preserve their childhood!
How are your Summer adventures going? You still have time to make this Summer a memorable one while preserving your child’s most adorable childhood moments. After all, we only have about 18 Summers with them. Let’s plan your little dreamers’ session.
