The Great Outdoors

Nothing gives me more satisfaction than when you are consulting for a Sweetly Delightful session and you hit right at the family’s heart. Being born and raised in South Africa, this “The Great Outdoors” theme has very special and brought fond memories to this dad. I don’t know who was more excited; the dad, the kids, or me!!!!

Boys! What can I say…They are wired to explore, to conquer, and to go fishing! The anticipation in their faces of all the fishies that they could catch in that net gave me the perfect opportunity for great shots

The boys wore authentic shirts that grandma sent from South Africa. They were perfect khakis for little explorers to go camp outdoors.

Dad joined in the fun on the little boat by showing the boys some fishing skills of his own. And oh, little Sarah was adorable with her red boots!

A camp out was just the perfect set after all the excitement of fishing. Tents are so much fun! Tents have the ability to trigger the “make believe button” in kids. They were able to explore through the very thoughtful props specially selected to add to their play pretend world. Big brother Hendrick was eagerly willing to read a story to his younger siblings. Perfect set to take great images of their natural love and affection for each other.

Lukas enjoy his turn laying down and reading one of his favorite books of Winnie the Pooh, and while I was asking him questions I was able to get some shots.

And all the cuteness of Sarah with her big blue flower on her head while she was cuddling with the teddy bear was simply too adorable!

Nothing like family love! This goes to show that dreaming is not only for little kids…grown ups are daydreamers too. This session just proved it! If you are a day dreamin’ kind of parent, then I’m your day dreamin’ kind of photographer!

Did they catch something? Well…let’s just say that they catch some great memories of their day. I know this family will never forget this day! Specially after their “little” visitor at the end of the session! LOL
