Little plane up in the sky,
won’t you teach me how to fly?
All little boys should be allowed to explore! It is through that exploration that imagination soars, curiosity brings more curiosity, and little minds develop into great and admirable inventors and adventurous men. I bet the Wright Brothers were little explores as babies.
And because I DO like kids to explore and have adventures, I keep collecting items I know will be great for future concept photography. If you come to the studio you will find bows and arrow, sling shots, wooden swords, marbles, and even a little robot! Messy? Nah, I would say “Imagination Station”. The best compliment was a three year old kid who came to the studio for a session, and his reaction made my day, “This…this place is AMAZING!” 🙂
So when Caleb’s mom told me she wanted to do an “aviator” session for his first birthday, I was all “UP IN THE SKY” for it! This themed session is beautiful for boys (and girls, let’s not forget Amelia Earhart) of all ages. Hmmm! Maybe that’s why I keep collecting aviator jackets. I love them!
Start the session like an hour before sunset and pray for a golden sunset at the end of the session for more dramatic pictures and you’ll have this little explorer ready to take off! He did so good playing with the little airplane in his hands and wondering if it will teach him how to fly… 😉
Happy Birthday Caleb!
