Vintage Pilot First Birthday

We Skyped and talked about the different possibilities for a “Day Dreaming” session and when they decided on the Vintage Pilot theme, they immediately booked their session.

The advantage of being a boutique studio is the access to many different and sometimes exclusive props we provide for our clients. That is part of what I LOVE to do. I am a propaholic! I collect lots and lots of props I know will go well for many of my designs and styled sessions, like the aviator jacket, the airplanes, and even the goggles. My clients then can benefit from our large collections of clothes, accessories, and sets. Then the only thing mommy had to work on was to choose her favorite cake designer.

The first birthday session is divided into two or three parts. I photograph your baby in the chosen set. I make sure he is having a blast with the little toys and books and activities I prepare for them in the set. There are always surprises and hidden treasures for the little curious minds to explore and discover. This allows me to capture genuine expressions and spontaneous smiles. After his images on the set are taken, we do the family portraits. Mommy and daddy can either join in the fun of the set or baby can have a quick change and we photograph family portraits for about 15 to 20 minutes. That gives us enough time for great mommy and me images and beautiful family portraits.

And then the fun part starts! What will your baby’s reaction be? Happy excited to plunge into the cake, or “ew, this is so yucky” face? Each baby reacts differently, and each baby’s reaction is so equally adorable, no matter what they decide to do. Can you imagine showing these images to your baby couple of years from now… What would his reaction be? These images are priceless!
