Cake smashes are so popular nowadays. Some babies have a lot of fun, while others can’t comprehend the “fun” in getting their hands dirty with a sticky, squishy, yet tasty texture. But just having the cake smash session is not enough, let’s talk about how you can have a cake smash session: “have your cake and eat it too!”
Celebrating the first year is a big, BIG milestone in your baby’s life. Just only a year ago he or she was being born, all teeny tiny and defenseless in your arms. Now he or she is sitting, standing, sometimes walking and some even running! Their little personalities are flourishing! This first year went fast…too fast! And that is why it is so important to make sure you celebrate big time your baby’s first birthday. It is the very FIRST birthday out a LIFETIME!
Even though the cake smashing is a very fun part of the session I still believe that you should take advantage of the session as a whole. Not just do a cake smash session, do a memorable session you can cherish and treasure forever.
This vintage shabby chic lace tent styled session was the perfect scenario for amazingly delicate and baby adorable images. The soft color palettes and carefully chosen toys and props were the perfect set for this little one-year-old baby girl to play. Her exploration, curiosity, and genuine smiles are all so real because the set and environment are, well, real. I put a lot of thinking when designing a set. I take into consideration the baby’s age and anticipate what the baby will do when in the set. Will they play with books, or pearls rather that with dolls? Each baby is different and their interests are so ever changing. That’s why I take extra care in selecting the props to use in the set. They not only have to be unique and beautiful but omg the have to be SAFE for your baby…and if they are vintage then better 😉
After we make sure we take gorgeous photographs of your baby, then let’s have the cake! Let’s change outfits and let’s do some smashing! The adorable outfit baby E is wearing is also a vintage inspired floral romper with ruffled bottom! How cute is that! It was perfect for the vintage lace tent theme.
