Welcome Little Princess
“Let her sleep for when she wakes up she’ll move mountains!”
Her name is Hadassah Victoria, her name means Victory of Queen Esther, the Hebrew girl in Persian times who saved all of the Hebrew people. Not just any ordinary little girl, but a girl with a mighty and powerful mission. Hadassah Victoria has already conquered and saved her little world! And I had never photographed a more attentive newborn baby as Baby Hadassah.
I photographed this family before when The Little Prince celebrated his first birthday, and later for some other events, including the beautiful Fairy Garden Maternity session before the big arrival of this little princess. I’m honored and blessed to have seen the grow with the newest addition to the family. What a blessing!
So I drove all the way to Cabo Rojo (yes, I LOVE them that much), to meet the little princess and document a lifestyle family sessions at home. Lifestyle family sessions are all about LOVE and family relationship. I love to document the baby’s room and all the little details parents prepared to receive their littlest ones because this baby room will not stay like that forever…and what a great way to remember how it was like than to take your first precious photographs of your baby girl in her beautifully-decorated-just-for-her room.
I do sincerely believe she was actively and most willingly playing with her big brother in her crib. She even smiled when he touched the mobile. Simply adorable!
This is us now.
I also love documenting families in the “family bed”. There is such easy and intimacy when a family just relax and cuddle, tickle, nurse or even play cars in the family bed. Nothing describes “family” better that the times together in bed. I love the sense of belonging it offers. It’s a great opportunity for documentary family photographs you’ll want to visit again and again when they get older. Even though documentary and storytelling are my absolute favorite when photographing newborns, I do love studio like images of just your new little bundle of joy. I always bring a little set to have artful images of your baby. Sometimes you can do a combined session in which you do both on different days. The idea is to have the most beautiful and complete portfolio of the great and most wonderful arrival of your new baby girl. Priceless! And now they have A Little Princess.
